deposited in the State Library for the use thereof, and that
the said society be, and it is hereby authorized, without being
required to pay therefor, to send a copy of each of the volumes
that have been or may be published to the respective State
Librarians of the several States of the Union, and also to
each of the Circuit Courts of the several counties of the
State, to the Court of Appeals, the Land Office, the
Library Company of the Baltimore Bar, and such library or
historical association as may be approved by the Maryland
Historical Society, and said society shall make report to the
next General Assembly of the progress of the work, and of
all receipts and disbursements under this Act.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 3.
AN ACT to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace of
the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County and
in the 10th Election District thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional justice of the peace be

appointed by the Governor of this State in the manner now
provided by law for the appointment of justices of the peace
in this State in and for the tenth (10th) election district of
Dorchester county, whose term of office shall begin on the
same day as that of other justices of the peace of aforesaid
county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 4.
AN ACT to authorize and direet the County Commissioners
of St. Mary's county to issue bonds for the purpose of rais-
ing money to pay for the erection of the Court House in
said county.
