by each person, set of persons or corporate institution for the
current year be paid at the time of making such discount.

CHAP. 344.

Section 9. That within sixty days after the annual tax levy
shall have been made the said Treasurer, in the performance
of his duty as clerk to said County Commissioners, shall make
a true copy of the assessment list of Talbot county in books
supplied by the County Commissioners for the purpose, show-
ing the aggregate assessment of every person, set of persons or
corporate institution, as the same there appears on the assess-
ment books of said county, with the names of said owners
arranged according to election districts, and alphabetically for
each district, and the amount of State and county taxes due
and owing by every such person, set of persons or corporate
institution, and said books shall be transferred to the office of
the County Treasurer, and the said Treasurer shall place
thereon all credits, whether for money received, transfers,
insolvencies, discounts or abatements ; and it shall be the
further duty of the said Treasurer to enter alphabetically on
a ledger the entire account of each taxpayer in one place
so that the whole may be seen and easily examined ; and it
shall be the further duty of the said Treasurer to keep the
ledger accounts as provided in this section in separate and
distinct books for each election district of Talbot county ; pro-
vided, that the ledgers now in use for this purpose by the
County Commissioners of Talbot county shall remain in use so
long as said accounts can be properly kept in the same, and it
shall also be the duty of the said Treasurer to keep a full and fair
cash account, showing all sums of money received by him so
as to indicate the sources whence the same were received,
respectively, and showing all sums of money paid out by him,
either to the County Commissioners or to the Treasury of
Maryland.

Section 9 A. That the clerk of the Circuit Court for Talbot
county shall, on the tenth of each month in the year, transmit
to the office of the Treasurer of Talbot county a list of all
alienations of property, chancery sales made by trustees and
finally ratified, and of all judgments and decrees recorded in
his said office or rendered in his Court since he last trans-
mitted a list of the same, which list shall show the property
alienated and the amount of the judgments and decrees, so as
to enable the County Commissioners to assess the parties to
whom the property is conveyed or money due, and the said
clerk shall be allowed ten cents for each alienation, judgment
or decree, to be paid by the county, and in all cases of
renewals of judgments by scire facias, the said clerk shall
return the date of the first and also of the original judgment
