CHAP. 384.

ration as objects of said corporation shall fail because said
church or conference is not an incorporated body, but said
"Board of Missions of the Baltimore Annual Conference of
the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Baltimore City"
shall stand in the place and stead of said church or conference,
and every such grant, gift, devise or bequest made to or for
or directed to be used in or for the benefit of the missionary or
like work of the said church or of the said conference shall
fail because no trustee, natural person or corporation has been
named to receive, manage or apply the same or to take the
legal title thereto; but upon application to a Court of Equity
said "Board of Missions of the Baltimore Annual Conference
of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Baltimore City"

apply such gift, grants, devise or bequest, and no such gift,
grant, devise or bequest shall be held vague, indefinite or void
because no person or persons or definite class of persons are
named or identified as beneficiaries; provided, it be clear that
it is the intention of the donor or testator that it shall be
given to or be applied to or in the missionary or like work of
said church or conference.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 335.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
171, Section 1, of the Acts of 1892, entitled an Act to
extend the privileges, enlarge the powers and amend the
charter of the Salisbury Permanent Building and Loan
Association of Wicomico County, a corporation duly
incorporated under the General Laws of Maryland, and to
enact additional Sections thereto, for the purpose of making
more definite its powers and for the enlargement of the
same.

Repeal and
re-enact.

SECTION 1. Be, it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 1, chapter 171, of the Acts of the
Assembly of 1892, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted to read as follows : The name of the said corpora-
tion shall be and the same is hereby changed to read " The
Salisbury Building, Loan and Banking Association ;" and in
addition to the powers possessed by it under its certificate of
incorporation and the Act of Assembly aforesaid, and under
the General Laws of this State, all of which are hereby con-
