SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall and may be lawful
for the said corporation to have a common seal for their use,
and the same at their will and pleasure to change, alter and
make anew from time to time as they may think best, to
hold their meetings from time to time in the city of Balti-
more, or at such other place or places in the State of Mary-
land, or elsewhere, as they may think best, and shall in general
have and exercise all such rights, privileges and immunities as
by law are incident or necessary to the corporation herein
constituted.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 326.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to appropriate a sum of money for
the benefit of John T. Mulligan.

CHAP. 325.

Lawful to
have a

WHEREAS, John T. Mulligan, while a hostler in the employ
of the Fire Department of the city of Baltimore, had his right
hand permanently crippled while responding to a fire alarm
from box 123, on Saturday July 30, 1887; and
WHEREAS, The said John T. Mulligan, on account of the
injuries then sustained, is unable to make a living for him-
self and family ; therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore be
and they are hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate
a sum of money not exceeding nine dollars per week for the
use and benefit of the said John T. Mulligan.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 327.

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to enter into a contract with United Railways and
Electric Company of Baltimore, or any person, company
or corporation, for the carriage of street dirt, sweepings,
garbage and ashes from certain points to places of final
disposition.
