as said Mayor and Common Council may order and direct at
any time not exceeding thirty days after the passage and
approval of this Act, and at said election the qualified voters
of said city are authorized to cast a ballot for issuing bonds or
against issuing bonds, and the result of such election shall be
certified to the eaid Mayor and Common Council of West-
minster, and if the majority of the votes cast be for the issuing
of the bonds provided for by this Act, then the Mayor and
Common Council be and they are hereby authorized and
directed and required to exercise the power and authority
vested in them by the provisions of this Act.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 259.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Article
92 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Terrapins —
Diamond Back and Salt Water," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

CHAP. 259.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, That sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and
7 of Article 92 of the Code of Public General Laws be and
the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as
follows :

1. It shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch, or
have in possession in this State any terrapin between the first
day of April and the first day of November in each year; the
terra terrapin to apply to those known as diamond back or
salt water terrapin, skilpot and sliders. This section shall not
apply to Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Calvert, Charles,
Wicomico and St. Mary's counties.

2. It shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch in
this State any terrapin of a less size than five inches in length
on the bottom shell. This section not to apply to Worcester,
Wicomico, Somerset; and provided, that any terrapin held in
possession by any citizen or citizens of said counties shall be
only terrapin purchased or taken outside of said counties.

3. It shall be unlawful for any person to interfere with or
in any manner destroy terrapin eggs.
