sistent herewith are hereby repealed, and that this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 187.
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, titled "Dorchester County," as amended
by the Act of 1900, Chapter 555.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to chapter 555 of
the Acts of 1900, to follow section 12, and to be designated as

section 18, and to read as follows: The County Commis-
sioners of Dorchester county shall annually hereafter, on the
first day of October, pay to the Commissioners of the town of
Secretary twenty-five dollars, out of the taxes levied and col-
lected for roads in the county, to be applied by the said Town
Commissioners for corporate purposes.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 188.
AN ACT to authorize the Board of Police Commissioners of
Baltimore City to pay to William W. Brown and John J.
Berney, former policemen of the Police Force of Baltimore
City, the sum of nine dollars per week, respectively.

Pensions
allowed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of Police Commissioners for the
city of Baltimore be and they are hereby authorized, in their
discretion, to pay the following pensions to the following
former officers of the police force of Baltimore City, the
respective sums set opposite their respective names, as follows :
William W. Brown the sum of nine dollars per week, John J.
Berney the sum of nine dollars per week, who were perma-
nently disabled in the discharge of their duty as such police-
men, out of the fund in the hands of said Board of Police
Commissioners, known and accounted for as the special fund,
