CHAPTER 91.
AN ACT to grant and declare the sanction and consent of
the General Assembly of Maryland to the acquiring, hold-
ing, mortgaging, leasing or selling by The Messiah English
Church of Baltimore City of a lot ground on the east side
of Potomac street in Baltimore city.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sanction and consent of said General Assembly of
Maryland be and the same is declared, given and granted :
To the lease by the Canton Company of Baltimore to The
Messiah English Lutheran Church of Baltimore City, dated
January 29, 1890, and recorded among the land records of

Baltimore city in Liber J. B., No. 1281, folio 2378, etc., of
a lot of ground on the east side of Potomac street, and a deed
from the said Canton Company of Baltimore to the said "The
Messiah English Lutheran Church of Baltimore City," dated
March 1, 1900, and recorded as aforesaid in Liber R. O., No.
1834, folio 234, etc., of the same lot of ground in fee simple.
And a mortgage of $5,000 from the said The Messiah
English Lutheran Church of Baltimore City to the German
Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore City, dated December
19, 1900, and recorded as aforesaid in Liber R. O., No. 1880,
folio 353, etc., of the same lot of ground. And a bond and
mortgage of $1,000 from the said The Messiah English
Lutheran Church of Baltimore City to The Board of Church
Extension of the General Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in the United States, dated December 19, 1900, and
recorded as aforesaid in Liber R. O., No. 1880, folio 289, etc,
of the same lot of ground. And a mortgage of $2,500 from
the said The Messiah English Lutheran Church of Baltimore
City to the said The Board of Church Extension of the
General Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the
United States, dated December 19, 1900, and recorded as
aforesaid in Liber R. O., No. 1880, folio 273, etc., of the
same lot of ground, and to the holding, mortgaging, leasing or
selling by the said The Messiah English Lutheran Church of
Baltimore City, its successors and its assigns, of the same lot
of ground.
