sub-title "Collectors and Collections," so far as the same
relates to Washington county, and to add a new section to
be known as Section 78 A, under a new sub-title to be
known as "Collectors of Taxes," to Article 21 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Washington County."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

CHAP. 8.

Maryland, That section thirty-two of Article 81 of the Code
of Public General Laws, title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title
"Collectors and Collections," be and the same is hereby
repealed, in so far as the same relates to Washington county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Repeal.

Maryland, That a new section to be known as 78 A, under a
new sub-title to be known as "Collectors of Taxes," be added
to Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Washington' County," and to read as follows:
78 A. Every Collector of Taxes in Washington county 'shall
before he acts as such give bond to the State of Maryland in

the penalty of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, either
with some bonding or trust company doing business in the
State of Maryland, and authorized by the laws of Maryland
to act as surety on official bonds or with individuals as sureties
upon said bonds, to be approved by the County Commissioners
of said county, with the condition that if the above bounden

- shall well and faithfully execute his office, and shall
account for and pay to the said County Commissioners the
several sums of money received by him for or on account of
taxes placed in his hands for collection, or for which he may
be answerable, when and at the times required by law, ther
this obligation to be void, else to be and remain in full force
and virtue in law.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 9.
AN ACT to provide for the payment of the per diem of
four additional members of the House of Delegates ot
Maryland of the session of 1902.

appropriations for the support of the State government for
the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day of September,
