CHAPTER 80.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 138
of article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Somerset County," sub-title "Liquor and Intoxi-
cating Drinks," as amended by chapter 240, Acts of 1898,
so as to make a uniform law prohibiting the sale of certain
intoxicating, spirituous and fermented liquors, or the solici-
ting and taking orders for such liquors anywhere within the
limits of Somerset county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

CHAP. 80.

Maryland, That section 138 of article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title, "Somerset County,"
sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," as amended by
chapter 240, Acts of 1898, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows :
138. It shall not be lawful for any person or body corporate
to sell or attempt to sell, anywhere within the limits of Somer-

upon conviction thereof by the Circuit Court or a justice
of the peace of Somerset county, trying the case, be fined not-
less than $50 nor more than $100 and be confined in the Mary-
land house of correction for not less than six months nor more
than one year for each and every offence.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall be in force from
the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 81.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
four hundred and ninety-four of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, Session eighteen hundred and
ninety-eight, to repeal Section seven hundred and fifty-six
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
" Baltimore City," sub-title " Police," as repealed and
re-enacted by Chapter two hundred and thirty-three of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of nineteen
hundred, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
