41. To the St. Elizabeth's Home of Baltimore city for Col-
ored Children, the sum of one thousand dollars for the fiscal
year eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, and the like sum of
one thousand dollars for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and
ninety-eight.
42. To the Oblate Sisters of Providence the sum of five
hundred dollars for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-
seven, and the like sum of five hundred dollars for the fiscal
year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
43. To the Home for Confederate Mothers and Children, the
sum of three thousand dollars for the fiscal year eighteen hun-
dred and ninety seven, and the like sum of three thousand dol-
lars for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
44. To St. John's College, Annapolis, for the purposes of
said institution, the sum of tive thousand dollars for the fiscal
year of eighteen hundred and ninety-seven.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of the State
shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller of the Treasury, pay
the said sum of money herein appropriated for the objects and
purposes hereinbefore specified, to or upon the order of the
person or persons or bodies corporate entitled to receive the
same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That George S. Payne, Robley D. Jones, George W.
Purnell, Edward White, Oscar M. Purnell, J. Edward
White, William F. Johnson, and Francis Henry Purnell, of
Snow Hill, Maryland; Calvin B. Taylor and Zadok P. Henry,
of Berlin, Maryland; Zadok P. Wharton, of Stockton, Mary-
land; and Edgar W. McMaster, of Pocomoke City, Maryland,
and whosoever may be now or hereafter associated with "them,
and their successors, shall be and are hereby made a body
politic and corporate by the name and style of the Equitable
