each county of the State, and one from each legislative district
of Baltimore city, to be selected by the school commissioners
of the counties and Baltimore city, respectively.
17. To the Home of the Friendless of Baltimore City, the
sum of three thousand dollars, for the fiscal year eighteen hun-
dred and ninety-seven, and the like sum of three thousand
dollars, for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
18. To the House of Good Shepherd, the sum of three
thousand dollars, for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and
ninety-seven, and the like sum of three thousand dollars for
the fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, to be issued
in accordance with the provisions of section three hundred
and twenty-eight of Article twenty-seven of the Code of
Public General Laws.
19. To the Hospital for the Women of Maryland, the sum
of three thousand dollars, for the fiscal year eighteen hundred
and ninety-seven, and the like sum of three thousand dollars,
for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
20. To St. Mary's Orphan Asylum of Baltimore, the sum of
five thousand dollars, for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and
ninety-seven, and the like sum of five thousand dollars for the
fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
21. To St. Mary's Industrial School, the sum of fifteen
thousand dollars, for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and
ninety-seven, and the like sum of fifteen thousand dollars, for
the fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
22. To the Maryland General Hospital, the sum of five
thousand dollars for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and
ninety-seven, and the like sum of five thousand dollars for the
fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight; said appropria-
tions to be used in accordance with Chapter one hundred and
seventy-nine of the Acts of Assembly of eighteen hundred
and eighty- six.
23. To the Western Maryland College, the sum of thirteen
hundred dollars for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and
ninety-seven, and the like sum of thirteen hundred dollars for
the fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight; said appro-
priations to be used in accordance with chapter four hundred
and ninety- nine of the Acts of Assembly of 1886.
24. To the Maryland Agricultural College, the sum of nine
thousand dollars for the fiscal year eighteen hundred and
