Limits
defined.

101. That the lines defining the headwaters of the Chesa-
peake bay, at or near the mouth of the Susquehanna river shall
be defined as follows: All waters west and south of the fol-
lowing line shall be considered as belonging to the Chesapeake
bay, to wit: A line drawn from Carpenter's point, thence to
Grove point; and a line drawn from Grove point to Howel's
point, but not to include any tributary of said bay.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 442.
AN ACT to authorize the legal and qualified voters of Poco-
moke City, in Worcester county, to decide by ballot whether
or not town coupon bonds not exceeding the amount of
$25,000, shall be issued by said town for the purpose of pro-
viding a proper water supply and electric light for said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That at a special election to be held in the town of Poco-
moke City, in Worcester county, Maryland, on the first Tues-
day in May, in the year 1896, that the question whether or
not said town shall issue coupon bonds to the amount of $25,000
or less for the purpose of providing a proper water supply and
electric light for said town shall be, and is hereby directed to
be submitted to the legal and qualified voters of said Pocomoke
City.

election.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
Mayor of Pocomoke City to publish in some newspaper of
general circulation in said town at least two weeks prior to
holding such election, notice thereof containing the substance
of this act, the day and hour of opening and closing the polls

and the place of polling. He shall also appoint three citizens,
qualified voters of said town, to act as judges of election, who
before entering upon the discharge of their duties, shall take
an oath before a notary public or justice of the peace for Wor-
cester county to act fairly and impartially and in accordance with
law as judges of said election; one of the said judges shall act as
clerk, and the said judges shall receive one dollar each for their
services as such; the polls shall be opened at 9 o'clock A. M
