mortgage or otherwise dispose of such real or personal prop-
erty as may be appropriate to the proper conduct of its busi-
ness; provided, said horseless carriages are not propelled by
steam and are noiseless in their operation, and are provided
with a suitable alarm by day and lamps by night. Provided
that if the said corporation shall at any time maintain and op-
erate lines of stage coaches over regular routes of travel along
the streets of Baltimore city, it shall pay to the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, a tax of nine per centum upon its
gross receipts within the present limits of Baltimore city, from
the fares of passengers travelling in said stage coaches, which
tax shall be paid in quarterly installments on the first days of
January, April, July and October in each year, and the said
corporation shall moreover be subject to all the provisions of
sections 769 A, 769 B and 769 C, of Article IY, Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title City of Baltimore, sub-title Railroads, in
respect to the gross receipts aforesaid, as fully as if the said
corporation were a street railway company.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the corporation hereby
created, and the board of directors and stockholders thereof,
shall, in addition to the powers hereby granted, have and
enjoy in all respects all of the powers, privileges, benefits and
advantages which now are or may hereafter be conferred by
the Public General Laws of Maryland relating to corporations
upon corporations formed or to be formed in accordance with
the provisions thereof, and the corporation hereby formed, shall
in all respects, except in so far as may be inconsistent with the
provisions of this act, be subject to the provisions and regula-
tions in the Public General Laws of Maryland, relating to cor-
porations, contained in reference to corporations formed or to
be formed thereunder.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the Legislature reserves to
itself the right to repeal, amend or alter this act at its pleasure.
