ized and directed to draw his warrant on the treasurer of the
State in favor of Messrs. King Brothers, of Baltimore city, for
the sum of one hundred and forty-two dollars and fifty cents
($142.50) for printing briefs for use of Attorney-General, in
State cases, in the Court of Appeals of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 424.
AN ACT to authorize the Treasurer to pay to William G.
Daugherty, trustee of Elizabeth McClelland, appointed by
decree of the Circuit Court of Baltimore City, in the place
of Albert T. Bayless, trustee, the amount of a certificate of
Maryland State stock, for three hundred dollars, which the
State has called for redemption and which is claimed to
have been lost.

WHEREAS, It appears from the dividend books, that three
hundred dollars of the State debt were issued under chapter ,
20 of 1839, to Albert T. Bayless, trustee of Elizabeth McClel-
land, and that interest has been regularly paid to him or his
agent; and,

WHEREAS, By a decree of the Circuit Court of Baltimore
City, passed on the 28th day of August, 1895, in " the matter
of the trust estate of Elizabeth McClelland," the said Albert
T. Bayless, trustee and petitioner in the said proceedings, was
released and discharged from the further execution of the said
trust, and William G. Daugherty was appointed trustee of said
Elizabeth McClelland, in his place and stead, with all the
power of the said original trustee; and,

WHEREAS, The said William G. Daugherty, trustee, claims
that the said State certificate for three hundred dollars has
been lost or misplaced, and that the same now belongs to him
as trustee of said Elizabeth McClelland; and,

WHEREAS, The said State debt has been called for redemp-
tion; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Treasurer of the State be and he is hereby
