railway company or companies operated in connection there-
with, the right to extend its railways, and operate the same
upon any of the streets or public roads or highways of said
county.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 373.
AN ACT to prevent trespassing for the purpose of hunting
or fishing on enclosed lands in Garrett county, Maryland,
without the consent of the owner.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That any person or persons who shall enter upon the
enclosed land of any person or persons or body corporate in
Garrett county, Maryland, with intent to hunt or fish on same,
without first having obtained permission so to do from the
owner or owners of said land, or from his, her, their, or its

agent, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on convic-
tion thereof before any justice of the peace of said county, be
fined not less than $1 nor more than $20, and in default of pay-
ment of said fine, together with the costs of prosecution, shall
be by said justice of the peace committed to the county jail for
not less than one nor more than twenty days.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all fines collected

under the foregoing section shall be paid by the justice of the
peace before whom such conviction was had over to the County
School Commissioners of said county, for the use of the schools
therein, within thirty days after having received the same, and
shall take duplicate receipts therefor from said School Commis-
sioners, one of which he shall file with the County Commission-
ers of said Garrett county.

Repeal.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all acts or parts of
acts inconsistent with' the provisions of this act be, and the same
are hereby repealed.

Effective.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
