examination by such court, register, clerk or other officers; and
it shall be lawful for said company to stipulate and provide for
indemnity from the parties aforesaid for whom it shall so
become responsible, and to enforce any bond, contract, agree-
ment, pledge o'r other security made or given for that purpose ;
and said corporation shall be subject at all times to the pro-
visions of the act of 1892, chapter 109, and the act of 1892,
chapter 279, or any amendments or supplements thereto.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the name of said
body corporate is hereby changed from " The American Bank
ing and Trust Company of Baltimore City " to the name of
"The American Bonding and Trust Company of Baltimore
City."

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 42.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article thirteen oi
the Code of Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland,
title "Harford County," sub-title " Justices of the Peace
and Constables," so as to give additional criminal juris-
diction to the justices of the peace in said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary
land, That an additional section be and the same is hereby
added to Article thirteen of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title "Harford County," sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables," so as to give addi-
tional criminal jurisdiction to the justices of the peace of said
county, said section to be numbered section 224 A and to read
as follows :

224 A. The several justices of the peace of Harford county
shall have, in addition to the jurisdiction which they now
possess and which may be conferred upon them by or under
the laws of this State, jurisdiction concurrent with that exer-
cised by the circuit court for said county in all cases of assault
without any felonious intent, and in all cases of assault and
battery, and in all cases of petit larceny when the value of the
property stolen does not exceed the sum of five dollars, and
