pouncil of Rockville, the clerk to whom shall keep in a book
for the purpose a full registry of the bonds sold, the serial num-
bers of the bonds and the names and addresses of the purchas-
ers and amounts realized on sales, and any transfers or assign-
ments of the same.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the fund realized from the
sale of said bonds shall be applied to the purposes of this act,
and shall be paid by check signed by the Mayor and counter-
signed by the clerk to the Council only on order of the Mayor
and Council of Rockville, and the said Mayor and Council are
authorized and empowered to pass such orders for the payment
of moneys due to the contractors for construction of said water
works as shall from time to time be earned by such contractors
in the prosecution of the said work, and also from time to time
to pass orders for payment of property purchased or condemned
and for material furnished in pursuance of the provisions of
this act. The said Mayor and Council in their discretion may
employ a competent hydrographical engineer to superintend
the work of constructing such water works, and may also require
of the Mayor and clerk a bond with a surety or sureties, to be
approved in such penal sum as to them may seem fit for faith-
ful performance of their duties as such disbursing officers.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 180.

AN ACT to prohibit the granting of license for the sale of
spirituous or fermented liquor or lager beer at Public School
House number tive (Lickersville) in election district number
one, in Frederick county, Maryland, or at any place withit
said Frederick County within two miles of said school house

Effective.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary
land, That hereafter it shall not be lawful for the clerk of the
Circuit Court for Frederick County to issue licenses to and
person or persons, or body corporate, to sell spirituous or fer-
mented liquors or lager beer at Public School House number
five (Lickersville) in election district number one, in Frederick
county, Maryland, or at any place within said Frederick county
within two miles of said school house.
