affect or to apply to any pending civil suit, action or proceed-
ing or to any pending prosecution for a crime or misdemeanor,
or to prevent the prosecution and punishment hereafter of any
offense already committed, or that may be hereafter com-
mitted against the provisions, or any of them, of Article eighty-
one of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Revenue and
Taxes," as the same existed prior to the passage of this act; and
wherever the words "City Court of Baltimore" occur in this
act, they shall be construed to mean the Baltimore City
Court,

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 121.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of
Thomas and Evans, Printers, of Baltimore, Md.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That- the Comptroller of the Treasury, be and he is
authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the Treasurer
of the State for the sum of twenty-three hundred dollars
($2,300) in favor of Thomas and Evans, printers, of Baltimore,
Md., the said sum being due them for furnishing the State
with (600) six hundred Poll or Registration books.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 27th, 1896.

Effective.

CHAPTER 122.

AN ACT to allow the legal and qualified voters of Snow Hill,
in Worcester County, to decide by ballot whether or not
town coupon bonds not exceeding the amount of eighteen
thousand dollars, shall be issued by the Mayor and Council
of Snow Hill for the purpose of providing a water supply
for said town.
