Effective.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

CHAPTER 12.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money out of the treasury
of the State, not otherwise appropriated, to reimburse
William C. Legg, late collector of taxes for the fourth
election district of Queen Anne's County, for money errone-
ously paid into the State treasury.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant on the
Treasurer of this State, to pay William C. Legg, late collector
of taxes for the fourth election district of Queen Anne's
county, the sum of twenty-two dollars and eighty-eight cents,
($22.88,) the same being due the said William C. Legg for
amount overpaid the State of Maryland for State taxes
charged him for collection for the year eighteen hundred and
eighty-nine, the same having been recommended by the
officers of the Treasury Department, as per certificate of the
Treasury officers, under provisions of section 33, Article 3, of
the Constitution, annexed.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
