the act to declare certain trespasses felony, and for other
purposes, passed at December session, 1826, chapter 260, be,
and the same is hereby repealed, so far as it relates to Calvert

CHAPTER 52.

A supplement to an act, enti tled an act, authorising the commis-
sioners of Charlestown, in Cecil county, to purchase a lot of
ground for the purpose therein mentioned.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Presbyterian congregation in Charlestown,
Cecil county, Maryland, be, and they are hereby authorised to
hold and receive, either by purchase, gift, or otherwise, any
lands, tenements or hereditaments, not exceeding two acres,
to and for the use of the said trustees, in fee simple to them
and their successors.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the right and title to the
meeting-house in Charlestown, in Cecil county, shall be vested
in the said trustees of Charlestown Presbyterian Congrega-
tion, upoa a deed being executed by William W. Ramsay,
to the said trustees and their successors; and the said meeting
house shall be under the exclusive control of the said trustees
and their successors, any thing in the original act to which
this is a supplement, to the contrary, notwithstanding
