CHAPTER 3.
An act to make public a Road therein mentioned.

Road made pub-
lic.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the road leading from the late Amasa Linthicum's Black-
smith's shop, (on the road leading to the lower ferry oi Pa-
tapsco, river) and running through the lands of Richard
Cromwell, jr. Ralph Hawkins. Jacob Rogers, Charles Ridgely,
(of Hampton) James Pitchar and Hezekiah Linthicum, to
the road leading irom the City of Annapolis to Sweetzers
bridge, be, and is hereby made public, and shall forever here-
after be taken and considered as a public road, to be kept in
repair as other county roads are.

A supplement to an act, entitled. An act to lay out and open a
road from Westminster, in Frederick county , to the city of
Washington and George Town,

SECTION, 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That Docter Gustavus Warfield, and James B.
Mathews, be, and they are hereby appointed additional com-
missioners, for Anne Arundel county, and they are hereby
authorised either by themselves or in conjunction with Col,
Thomas Hood and Samuel Gaither, (two commissioners al-
ready appointed,) to lay out and open said road so far as it
passes through said county; anu they are hereby vested with
all the powers and authority given to the commissioners by
the act to which this is a supplement, so far as relates to Anne
Arundel county, and the Levy court of said county are hereby
required to levy the expenses of the same on the assessable
property of said county.

Repeal.
|
SEC. 2, And be it enacted, That so much of the act to which
this is a supplement, as is inconsistent with or repugnant
to the provisions of this act be, and the same is hereby re-
pealed.

An act to confirm the name of Lufkin Tall Traverse, alias Luf-
kin Tall, of Dorchester county.
|
Preamble.
|
Whereas, Lufkin Tall Traverse, alias Lufkin Tall, of Dor-
cheater county, was not born in lawful wedlock, his mother be-
ing a Tall and his father a Traverse, and whereas some doubts
exist as to his true and proper name, and he is desirous that it
should be legally established to that of Lufkin Tall Traverse;
Therefore,

Name Changed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the name of Lufkin Tall Traverse, alias Lufkin
Tall, of Dorchester county, be, and hereby is confirmed to
that of Lufkin Tall Traverse, and it shall and may be lawful
|
