An additional supplement to an act entitled. An act 'respecting
the equity jurisdiction of the coun y courts of this state.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
it shall be the duty of some one of the judges of the fifth ju-
di'ial district; composed of Frederick, Washington and Al-
legany counties, to attend at the court house in the town of
Cumberland, Allegany county, at some day between the se-
veral srssions of their com t, who shall have power to
make all necessary orders touching any subject matter in the
said courts, upon the equity side, brought or depending
therein, and it shall be the duty of the clerk of said county to
attend the said judge on the said days, who shall make due
entry of all such matters and things as shall or may be order-
ed as aforesaid by the said judge; and the said county court
of said district are hereby instructed, at the first court next
after the passage of this act, to appoint the day on which the
said judge shall attend as aforesaid, which said day shall be,
as nearly as may be, equi-distant between the terms of the re-
spective county courts, any law to the contrary notwithstand-
ing.

An act to make valid a certain deed of Manumission.
|

1828.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
aded of manumission, executed by Lloyd B all, in favor of
cerrai'i negroes therein mentioned, bearing date the twenty
fourth dav of October, seventeen hundred and ninety one,
and recorded on the twenty ninth day of March, seventeen
hundred and ninety three, in Libier E, folio two hundred and
ninety seven, one of the land records of Montgomery county
court, be, and the same is hereby declared to be good and
valid, and of equal force and effect as if the same had been
recorded within the time limited by law, and the clerk of
Montgomery county court is hereby authorised and required,
up n application therefor, to issue to the said negroes or their
descendants, or any of them, certificates of freedom, in the
manner and upon the terms required by law.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act con-
tained, shall effect any suit or prosecution pending in any
court of this state
