LIBRARY
As in the past years, we received numerous useful volumes which
we wished to include in our library. During the fiscal year, we added
117 titles. This compares with the 153 titles accessioned during 1962-
1963, and the 110 titles received during 1961-1962. Many of the
titles received during 1963-1964 represent long-desired titles while
others help to fill in the gaps in our holdings.
We have again received many helpful genealogical publications.
Included among those received this year are genealogies of the Cecil,
Roderick, Megee, Dent, Nash, Amos, Stewart, Post, and Joyce families.
The Maryland State Society, Daughters of the American Revolution
once again has supplemented previous gifts with additional invaluable
source materials. This year, the Society gave us seven typescript vol-
umes comprising the Bible and tombstone records of Cecil and Harford
counties.
Once more we have limited our purchases. Some of the titles added
in this manner were Washington, Capital City, 1879-1950, by Con-
stance McLaughlin Green, Abstracts -from the Land Records of Dor-
chester County, Maryland, compiled by James A. McAllister, Jr., and
William Goddard, Newspaperman, by Ward L. Miner.
Several of our acquisitions deserve more than passing notice.
These include Quakers in the Founding of Anne Arundel County, by
J. Reaney Kelly, prepared with the assistance of members of the Hall
of Records staff, and The Court Records of Prince George's County,
Maryland, 1696-1699, edited by Joseph H. Smith and Philip A. Crowl.
This latter volume was prepared under the joint sponsorship of the
Hall of Records Commission and the Littleton-Griswold Fund of the
American Historical Association. Miss Martha S. Poole gave us a large
collection of issues of The Montgomery County Story, completing our
file of this publication. From Mrs. George T. Feldmeyer, we received
over thirty numbers of the National Historical Magazine, published by
