ARCHIVIST OF THE HALL OF RECORDS 13
STAFF NOTES
Program 1.
Helen H. Kilborn, who first came to the Hall of Records on
October 11, 1961, as Stenographer, Accounting and who later (April
18, 1962) became Stenographer-Secretary, resigned May 8, 1964. She
was succeeded June 8, 1964, by Marjorie K. Teel, who finished out the
fiscal year.
Program 2.
For the second consecutive year, there were no changes in the
Research and Reference Division, for which we are thankful—it is here
that experience with the records counts most heavily.
Program 3.
Connis O. Brown, Jr., was appointed Public Records Examiner in
the Records Management Division on August 14, 1963. This position
had been vacant for over a year prior to Mr. Brown's appointment.
We regretted the loss of Donald L. Bullock, who was called into
military service on October 4, 1963. He was not permanently replaced
until the next May 6, when Ralph V. Crouse was employed.
Frances K. Webster resigned her position as Clerk I in the An-
napolis Records Center, on October 9, 1963, and she was replaced by
Robert H. Shiflet on the seventeenth of the same month.
Miscellaneous
As Mrs. Carr expected to leave the State service in September, we
found the funds to provide her with a typist during the summer months.
This was essential because Mrs. Carr had been working on the revised
edition of the Maryland Guide and much of her work was in corrected
first draft. Molly M. Jones, a student at St. John's College, was em-
ployed as a temporary Clerk-Typist II, on June 3, 1964.
