A BILL

ENTITLED

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 104 and
106 of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Governor—Executive and Administrative De-
partments", sub-title "State Manual", transferring from the Sec-
retary of State to the Hall of Records Commission the duty of
publishing the State Manual and relating generally to the publica-
tion and distribution of the Manual.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 104 and 106 of Article 41 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Governor—Executive and
Administrative Departments", sub-title "State Manual", be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:

104.

It shall be the duty of the [Secretary of State] Hall of Records
Commission to publish from time to time a manual of the State of
Maryland.

106.

The said manual shall be distributed as follows: Twenty-five cop-
ies bound in cloth to the Maryland State Library; ten copies, two of
which shall be bound in cloth, to each of the members of the legis-
lature; one copy to each public or private school or educational insti-
tution in the State of Maryland; fifty copies bound in cloth to the
Department of Legislative Reference, for exchange with other
states; and the [Secretary of State] Hall of Records Commission is
hereby authorized to make such further distribution as [he] it
deems necessary or desirable.

Sec. 2 And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1958.
