ARCHIVIST OF THE HALL OF RECORDS 59

bate and other county records were received from Hall and McChesney, In-
corporated. This film was added to the Microfilm Collection of the Hall of
Records and is listed herein under "Archival Accessions."

ACTS OF ASSEMBLY

In my last Annual Report, I gave a full account of a legislative bill which
were it enacted into law would establish certain minimum standards for the
physical form of instruments presented for recording in the offices of the clerks
of court. After several attempts this bill was passed, but without our amend-
ments providing for the same standards for microfilm recording as those de-
manded where recording is by photostat. An amended bill was introduced for
us at the 1955 Session, but it failed of passage. In order that the members of
the Commission may have an opportunity to examine it conveniently, we are
reprinting it herewith.

ment), title "Clerks of Court", sub-title "Clerks of Circuit
Courts", generally amending the laws as to certain instruments
offered for recordation in the offices of the clerks of the court in
this State and concerning the photostating or microfilming of
such instruments.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 64 of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Mary-

of Circuit Courts", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

[, or any typewritten instrument, not upon a printed form,] shall
cause said printed [forms or typewritten instrument] form to be
