Allegany County had a microfilm camera from October 1951 to May

1952 but thereafter decided in favor of recording by photostat camera.
Baltimore City and Baltimore County have microfilm cameras but do not
use them for recording purposes.

At the beginning of fiscal year 1954 the Microfilm Division became
a part of the new Records Management Division of the Hall of Records.
Land Record microfilming will have to be done in only eight counties,
which will allow us to spend about half of our time filming for other
State agencies. A 16 mm rotary-drum camera for filming loose papers is
being purchased for this purpose.
