HALL OF RECORDS COMMISSION

The Hall of Records Commission is an ex-officio body created by
Chapter 18, Acts of 1935 to collect and preserve the non-current records
of the State. Since the passage of this Act, the Commission has been
assigned other duties: it is responsible for editing the State's Year Book,
the Maryland Manual: it is a depository for all State reports and other
publications; it microfilms for deposit in the Land Office all the deed and
mortgage records of the counties; it is required to make copies by photo-
static process of any county record on request and at the cost of the
counties. The work of the Commission is carried on at the Hall of Records
building in Annapolis (Flack's Code 1951, Article 41, Sections 121, 148-
157).

At the end of fiscal year 1952 the members of the Commission and
their offices were as follows:
