decided whether it would be economical to treat film as library materials.
Perhaps the form of the material should be ignored altogether and the
content made the sole criterion of whether material is archival or library.

The purchase of Maryland printed books, however necessary for our
work, is generally beyond our means. We are therefore especially pleased
to receive such gifts as the History of Western Maryland by J. Thomas
Scharf, which was presented to the Hall of Records by Mrs. Heister
Hoogewerff, and The Sun Almanacs, which came from Mr. Charles L.
Shipley.
