LIBRARY

Among the new accessions to our library are two local histories, both
badly needed, Noma Thompson's history of Rockville and the surrounding
area and Frederick Emory's history of Queen Anne's County recently re-
issued by the Maryland Historical Society. We made further additions
to our collections of Laws and Proceedings of the Maryland General Assem-
bly and we received as a gift from the author a series of studies of Mason
and Dixon and their "Line." Through the courtesy of the Robert W. Gar-
rett Library we were permitted to photostat for our collection the
seventeenth'century maps of Maryland which were included in the exhibit
of that library at the Hall of Records during the Annapolis Tercentenary
celebration.

Maps

Annapolis, Maryland and Vicinity, by Robert L. Burwell, Annapolis, Maryland,

April, 1941. Photocopy.

Map of Annapolis, by Jack Manley Rose, 1944. Facsimile.
A Map of the English Empire in the Continent of America, by R. Morden, London,

1685. Photocopy.
