achieved command of our small but useful library. It is fortunate
too that the employee who was responsible for the accomplishment
of this task and who has resigned has been replaced by another
trained librarian who will be able to continue this work.

During the course of the year the library will be removed from
the Archivist's Office, which it has outgrown, to the small room in
the rear of the public Search Room where it will be placed on shelves
now being designed. This transfer will make our printed books more
accessible to the public as well as to the members of the staff of the
research room who are most concerned with them.

The number of items added to our collection during the course
of the year is approximately the same as the number last year and
the year before. A detailed list of accessions for the year follows:
