52 FIRST TO FOURTH ANNUAL REPORTS

I have no hesitation in ruling, therefore, that all pre-existing
statutes relating to custody of such records, are repealed to the ex-
tent of their inconsistency, although, of course, your office will still
continue to perform its primary function, and retain the custody of
all records necessary for said purpose.
