Laws and Opinions Relating to the Hall of Records

Acts 1929, Chapter 470.

AN ACT to provide for the commemoration of the Three Hun-
dredth Anniversary of the Founding of the Province of Mary-
land by the appointment of a commission to report to the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland of 1931 any recommendations as
to what provision should be made for said Tercentenary anni-
versary in 1933 and 1934.

Acts 1931, Chapter 253.

AN ACT to authorize the creation of a State debt in the aggregate
amount of five million six hundred and sixty-three thousand
dollars ($5,663,000), the proceeds thereof to be used for cer-
tain necessary building, construction and equipment purposes
of the State, and for acquiring certain land, and providing gen-
erally for the issue and sale of certificates of indebtedness evi-
dencing such loan.

*** To the Board of Public Works, for the acquisition of a site
in Annapolis, Maryland, and for the construction and equip-
ment of a building to be known as the Memorial Hall of Re-
cords, $200,000, all from the issue of August 15, 1932. ***

Acts 1931, Chapter 487.

AN ACT to provide for the commemoration of the three hundredth
anniversary of the founding of Maryland, and to provide for
the acquisition in the name of the State of certain historical
sites hereinbelow mentioned, and the construction thereon of
certain memorials hereinbelow specified, and the construction
and equipment of a "Memorial Hall of Records" on land to be
acquired in Annapolis for the housing and preserving of the of-
ficial historical records of the Province and State of Maryland
and other documents, and for other purposes; all as determined
