county of Baltimore. Fellow-citizens, The opposer
of general Smith, finding that they are not able
to rally to the standard of opposition, any number
like a majority of the free, virtuous and inde-
pendent American citizens, have descended to dis-
grace their country, and insult their countrymen,
by enlisting to their services a band of British
seamen, belonging to a privateer of that nation,
now laying in our port - [With affidavits to the
opposition of J. John O'Donnell to the mechanics
voting for General Smith]
