Bail end Sellers. In announcing the opening of his
business in Baltimore, he advertised recommendations
from the heads of the firms
Copy from his Indenture.
I hereby certify that the within named David
Graham served the term of six years as an appren-
tice to the printing business, with me, and con-
ducted himself decently, soberly, and honestly.
He was with me five months previous to the date
of his indenture, upon trial, during which, and
the whole time of his apprenticeship, he behaved
in such manner as to gain the esteem of myself
and family. I am of the opinion that he will
give satisfaction to. any person, in the printing
line, who may think proper to employ him.

I certify that David Graham served the time above
mentioned, in the printing office under the name
of Hall and Sellers, and I think he justly deserves
the recommendation given by Mr. Hall.

The newcomer soon took considerable business from
the wall established printing offices of Goddard and
Angell, John Hayes, and Samuel and John Adams; for in
the year 1791, Graham is taown to have printed four
religious pamphlets: Reverend Joseph Bend1 s 4 Discourse
