ago, and reports, that the army has met with a total
defeat, and that many of the refugees have arrived
at Fort-Washington, among whom are some wounded -
He says that General Butler, and many other brave
officers, with about 600 rank and file, and a number
of pack-horse-men, fell in the action, which happen-
ed within fifteen miles of the Maumee towns ..."
