IMPRINT BIBLIOGRAPHY

This bibliography attempts to list, as far as can
be found, every book, pamphlet, broadside, piece of
printed music and newspaper known to have been printed
in Maryland during the last decade of the eighteenth
century, 1791-1800.

The information for each publication consists of:

1. Author, assigned according to Library of Congress
practice.

2. Complete transcription, as far as possible, of the
title-page.

3. Complete transcription of the imprint, separated
for clearness, as in Evans, from the title of the
publication.

4. Size by fold, height in centimeters, inclusion of

plates, illustrations and diagrams.
5. Paging, in detail. Blank versos of half-titles and

title-pages, because of their frequent occurrence,

have not been noted; but other blank pages have

been designated.
6 Signatures, in detail.
7 Notes concerning the contents of the publication,

date of issue, other miscellaneous matter, if nec-

essary for clearness.
