CHAP. 7.

Charles C. Har-
per authorised to
sell or lease inte-
rest of minors.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Charles C. Harper, the guardian of Emily L. Harper and
Robert G. Harper, who are infants, be and he is hereby autho-
rised and empowered, to sell or lease, or otherwise dispose of,
all the interest and right of the said Emily L. Harper and Ro-
bert G. Harper, in and to certain lands lying in the state of
New York, and constituting part of a tract called Moreland
Manor, situated between the waters of the Tioga River and the
southern extremity of Seneca Lake.

Empowered to
make deeds

2. And be it further enacted, That the said Charles C.
Harper, be and he is hereby fully empowered and authorised,
in person or by lawful attorney, to make deeds in fee simple or
leases, as the case may require, for said lands, which deeds and
leases shall be good and valid in law, and effectual to pass all
the interest of said above named infants in said lands.

ney— how to be
executed

3. And be it further enacted. That all powers of attorney
executed for making sales or leases of said lands, wherein said
infants are interested, shall receive the approbation, and be exe-
cuted under the signature and seal of both the said Charles
Carroll, of Carrollton, the grand-father, and the said Charles C.
Harper, the brother and guardian of said infants.

CHAP. VIII.
An Act to close up part of am Old Road, and make public in lieu thereof
the New Road therein mentioned.

Old road shut up

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, all that part of the
old road in Anne-Arundel county, leading into Patapsco Neck,
which lies between the commencement and termination of the
new road lately opened by a certain Benjamin Robinson, be and
the same is hereby declared to be, closed and shut up.

2. And be it enacted, That in lieu thereof the said new road,
lately opened by the said Benjamin Robinson, be and the same
is hereby made public, and shall forever hereafter be taken and
considered as a part of the public road leading into Patapsco
Neck.

CHAP. IX.
An Act relative to the Public Roads in Prince-George's County.

WHEREAS there are no records of the public roads in Prince-
George's county, from which supervisors warrants can be cor-
rectly made out; Therefore,

pointed to desig-
nate public roads.

1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the levy court of Prince-George's county,
be and they are hereby authorised, to issue a commission to six
men of integrity, good judgment and understanding, one of
whom shall be selected from the residents of each of the elec-
tion districts of said county, whose duty it shall be to ascertain
by the best evidence that can be obtained, all the roads that
have been used as public roads in said county, or deemed or re-
presented as such since the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and seventy-eight, and make a description and
designation of them, by which they may forever hereafter be
distinguished and known.
