CHAP 247.


Clerks of Court
of Appeals

For any other service, matter or thing, not herein be-
for particularly enumerated, and for which no spe-
cific allowance may have been already made, the
same fees as are hereinafter prescribed and allowed
to the clerks of the several county courts of this
state, for the like or similar services, and no more.

To the Register
in Chancery

3. And be it enacted, Tbat from and after the commence-
ment of the operation of this act, there shall be limited and al-
lowed to the Register in Chancery, the following fees, which
may arise or become due for services thereafter rendered in
virtue of his office, and no more, viz.
For issuing under seal of office a subpoena ad respon-
dendum, an attachment of contempt, a writ of er-
ror, an injunction, every execution or attachment on
a decree, every commission, a ne exeat, a habere
facias possessionem, a writ de lunatico inquiren-
do, a writ of sequestration, or other special writ;
or any other writ or process not herein particularly
enumerated; for every ten words or figures of any
or either of them, and so pro rata, 1 1/4 cts
For the docket entry of the return of any writ or
process, 5 cts,
For filing every bill or petition, every answer or plea,
every demurrer, every commission and deposition,
accounts, books of account, bonds, deeds, or other
papers or writings referred to and made part of any
bill, plea, answer, or other pleadings or process
thereupon, (to be charged but once,) for each, 5 cts.
,For an appearance docketed or entered .of each or any
individual party, complainant or defendant, whether
in proper person, or by solicitor, 5 cts.
For the docket entry of every continuance, or refer-
ence, of a cause, to be charged to the party com-
plainant or plaintiff only, 5 cts.
For the docket entry of every imparlance, 5 cts.
For administering every oath, or affirmation, taken in
court, 5 ets.
For the docket entry of every rule or motion made
in writing, leave, or order of court, 5 cts.
For the docket entry of a judgment or decree, 25 cts.
For taxing and filing a bill of the costs of either party,
in any cause, suit or prosecution, or in cases of land
commissions, with the items or articles at large, 15 cts.
For a copy thereof, with the several items or articles
at large, to be paid for only by the party requiring
the same, 10 cts.
For a short copy of a decree, without seal, if express-
ly demanded, to be paid for by the party demand-
irrg the same, 15 cts.
For the minuting a docket entry of a prayer for an
appeal, and the granting thereof by the court, 5 cts,
