CHAP. CCIV,
An Act to repeat an act passed the twenty -seventh day of January eighteen
hundred and twenty-seves, entitled, An act to prevent Boats and other
Vessels from taking Sand from, that part of the Eastern Branch of the
Potomac lying and being in Prince-George's County.

Act repealed

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That an act passed the twenty-seventh day of January eighteen
hundred and twenty-seven, entitled, An act to prevent boats
and other vessels from taking sand from that part of the Eastern
Branch of the Potomac, lying and being in Prince George's
county, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Levy court au-
thorised to appoint
a treasurer.

CHAP. CCV.
An Act to authorise the appointment of a Treasurer for Baltimore County

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the levy court of Baltimore county be and
they are hereby authorised and empowered, to appoint from
time to time a treasurer for said county, being a citizen of said
county, who shall hold his office at the pleasure of said justices,
and who, before he enters on the duties of said office, shall give
bond to the state of Maryland in the sum of twenty thousand
dollars, with two securities to be approved and accepted by said
justices, conditioned for the faithful performance of his duties
as treasurer of said county, and for the payment over of all mo-
nies, and delivery of all books and papers, that shall come to
his hands or possession as treasurer aforesaid, to such person or
persons as the justices of the levy court of Baltimore county
shall direct or require; and the justices aforesaid may allow said
treasurer, as a compensation for his services, a sum not exceed-
ing five hundred dollars per annum, and they may require him
to give a new bond, with other or additional securities, whene-
ver tbey shall deem the same necessary.

2. And be it enacted, That the justices of said court shall
be and they are hereby authorised and empowered, to appoint a
treasurer for the present year at their next meeting, who shall
be required to give bond, conditioned as above, within thirty
days after such appointment

CHAP. CCVI
A Supplement to an act, entitled, An act for the benefit of Adam Robb,
Executor of Upton Beall, late Clerk of Montgomery County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That before the said Adam Robb shall proceed in any manner,
under or by virtue of said act, or have any benefit of the same,
he shall give bond to the state of Maryland, in the sum of two
thousand dollars, with two securities, to be approved by the
judges, or some one of them, of Montgomery county court
conditioned that he will faithfully account for and pay over to
the treasurer of, the western shore, any and all such tax as the
said state may be entitled to receive on the fees to be by him,
collected is the same manner that the successor in office of the
