COOPERATION WITH THE STATE BOARD OF NURSING, TO OFFER THE
TRANSITION COURSES.

(C) REGISTERED NURSES SELECTING THE OPTION UNDER
SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS ACT MAY NOT SUBSTITUTE OTHER CREDITS OR
CHALLENGE EXAMINATIONS IN PLACE OF THE TRANSITION COURSES.

(D) ALL TRANSITION COURSES SHALL BE COMPLETED
SUCCESSFULLY BEFORE A REGISTERED NURSE MAY BEGIN THE SENIOR
LEVEL BACCALAUREATE NURSING COURSES WITH 60 CREDITS
AWARDED AS CHALLENGE GRANTS.

(E) ANYONE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THIS OPTION MUST ENTER A
BSN PROGRAM WITHIN 2 YEARS OF COMPLETION OF THE TRANSITION
COURSES AND MUST COMPLETE THE REMAINING 64 CREDITS FOR THE
BSN WITHIN 6 YEARS.

(F) THIS SECTION SHALL TAKE EFFECT JULY 1, 1989. IT SHALL
REMAIN EFFECTIVE UNTIL SEPTEMBER, 1994 AND, AT THE END OF
SEPTEMBER 1, 1994, AND WITH NO FURTHER ACTION REQUIRED BY THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY, THIS SECTION SHALL BE VOID AND OF NO EFFECT.

[(c)] (B) A fee may be charged for the administration of an examination in an
amount that reasonably represents:

(1) The cost to the Board of procuring a standardized examination; and

(2) The actual cost of administering the examination.

[(d)] (C) The Board shall provide a list of the fees set under this section to each
applicant for a license.

[(e)] (D) The Board shall pay all funds collected under this title into the
General Fund of this State.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Failure to renumber § 18-206(c), (d), and (e) of the Health
Occupations Article to be § 18-206(b), (c), and (d).

Occurred: As a result of Ch. 562, Acts of 1989, which repealed § 18-206(b)
of the Health Occupations Article.
