DORCHESTER COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE SHALL BE
CONSIDERED A COUNTY EMPLOYEE FOR THE PURPOSE OF MEMBERSHIP
IN THE PENSION SYSTEM IN WHICH A COUNTY EMPLOYEE IS ELIGIBLE
TO BE A MEMBER.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That an employee of the
Dorchester County State's Attorney's Office who becomes a member of the Pension
System for Employees of the State of Maryland under this Act shall be entitled to
service credit of up to 10 years of service with the State's Attorney's office in
Dorchester County, if the employee:
(1) Files a claim for the service credit with the Board of Trustees for the
Maryland State Retirement and Pension System; and
(2) Pays into the Pension System for Employees of the State of Maryland
an amount equal to the reserves required to fund the additional retirement allowance.
The employees may pay for the service credit on an installment basis by contributing not
less than 2 percent of compensation per year with the appropriate final adjustments
being made in the year in which the member retires.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990, contingent on the taking effect of Chapter __ (S.B. __/H.B.
__)(01r0514) of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1990, and if Chapter __ does
not become effective, this Act shall be null and void without the necessity of further
action by the General Assembly.

AN ACT concerning
Creation of a State Debt - Anne Arundel General Treatment Services, Inc.
FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in the amount of
$2,500,000 the proceeds to be used as a grant to the Anne Arundel General
Treatment Services, Inc. for the planning, design, and construction construction,
and equipping of an adolescent and young adult residential substance abuse
treatment facility, subject to the requirement that the Anne Arundel General
Treatment Services, Inc. provide at least an equal and matching fund of a certain
kind for the same purpose by a certain date; and providing generally for the issue
and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur indebtedness on
