Property Tax Assessment Appeal Board - Compensation

FOR the purpose of altering the compensation for members of a property tax
assessment appeal board; providing that a member of a property tax assessment
appeal board is entitled to compensation at an hourly rate as provided in the State
budget; providing for the effective dates of this Act; and generally relating to
compensation of members of a property tax assessment appeal board.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Tax - Property

3-105.

(c) Each member of a board is entitled to:

(1) compensation in accordance with the State budget at the rate of [$20]
$25 an hour but not exceeding [$120] $150 for each day or part of a day spent in hearing
protests or in executive session; and

(2) reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel
Regulations, as provided in the State budget.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:

Article - Tax - Property

3-105.

(c) Each member of a board is entitled to:

(1) compensation [in accordance with the State budget at the rate of $25
an hour but not exceeding $150 for each day or part of a day spent in hearing protests
or in executive session] AT AN HOURLY RATE AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE
BUDGET; and
