SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Agriculture

SUBTITLE 14. ORGANICALLY PRODUCED COMMODITIES

10-1401.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ESTABLISH A CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
GOVERNING THE PRODUCTION AND MARKETING OF ORGANICALLY
PRODUCED COMMODITIES.

10-1402.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS CREATING A
PROGRAM UNDER WHICH PRODUCTS MAY BE CERTIFIED AND LABELED
AS ORGANICALLY PRODUCED COMMODITIES THAT ARE NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBTITLE.

10-1403.

THE DEPARTMENT MAY PROVIDE ASSISTANCE IN PROMOTING
ORGANICALLY PRODUCED COMMODITIES CERTIFIED AS PROVIDED IN
REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Bicounty Agencies - Montgomery County— Compensation of Members

PG/MC 11-90

FOR the purpose of altering the compensation for the members of the
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission? and the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District, and Commission and the members of the Washington
Suburban Transit Commission from Montgomery County; providing for certain
compensation if a commissioner of the Washington Suburban Transit Commission
is a member or an alternate of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit
Authority; providing for the application of this Act that this Act does not apply to
the salary or compensation of the incumbent members of the Commissions;
