Article 19 - St. Mary's County

26-3.

A. Salaries.

(1) The President of the County Commissioners [of St. Mary's County]
shall receive [an annual] A salary of:

(a) [Fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.)] $24,000 for [1981 and
1982.] CALENDAR YEAR 1991;

(b) [Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.)] $25,000 for [1983.]
CALENDAR YEAR 1992;

(e) [Twenty-one thousand dollars ($21,000.)] $26,000 for [1984.]
CALENDAR YEAR 1993; AND

(d) [Twenty-two thousand dollars ($22,000.)] $27,000 for [1985]
CALENDAR YEAR 1994 AND FOR EACH SUBSEQUENT CALENDAR YEAR.

[(e) Twenty-three thousand dollars ($23,000.) for 1986 and
thereafter.]

(2) Each other Commissioner shall receive [an annual] A salary of:

(a) [Ten thousand dollars ($10,000.)] $18,000 for [1981 and 1982.]
CALENDAR YEAR 1991;

(b) [Fourteen thousand dollars ($14,000.)] $19,000 for [1983.]
CALENDAR YEAR 1992;

(e) [Fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.)] $20,000 for [1984.]
CALENDAR YEAR 1993; AND

(d) [Sixteen thousand dollars ($16,000.)] $21,000 for [1985]
CALENDAR YEAR 1994 AND FOR EACH SUBSEQUENT CALENDAR YEAR.

[(e) Seventeen thousand dollars ($17,000.) for 1986 and thereafter.]

(3) The Attorney General to the County Commissioners shall receive an
annual salary as determined by the Commissioners.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the salaries of the
President and other County Commissioners specified in Chapter 72 of 1981 shall remain
in effect for the remainder of the current term.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the President or other County Commissioners of
St. Mary's County in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this
Act concerning the salary or compensation of the President and other County
