Ch. 176 LAWS OF MARYLAND

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Tax - Property

14-813.

(a) (1) At any time after 30 days from the mailing of the statement and notice,
the collector shall cause to be published, 4 times, once a week for 4 successive weeks in
1 or more newspapers that have a general circulation in the county in which the
property is located, a notice that the property will, on the date and at the place named
in the notice, be sold at public auction.

(2) [In Prince George's County the notice shall be published in 3
newspapers at a price of $5 per item for each newspaper, which money shall be charged
against the property offered for sale as an item of cost after 6 o'clock p.m. on the Friday
next preceding the date of the issue of the newspapers in which the advertisement first
appears and the treasurer of the county shall deliver the copy of the advertisement to
the publishers of the newspapers not later than 10 o'clock a.m. on the Friday of the
week preceding first publication of the tax sale advertisement.

(3)] In Frederick and Queen Anne's Counties the notice shall be published
3 times, once a week for 3 successive weeks.

(b) In PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY AND Wicomico County, the cost of
publishing the notice shall be the same as the prevailing rate for publishing other legal
notices and advertisements.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Frederick County Board of Education - Compensation

FOR the purpose of providing that members of the Frederick County Board of
Education shall receive certain compensation for traveling and other expenses
incurred in the performance of Board business; and providing that this Act does
not apply to the compensation of the incumbent members of the Board.
