Laws of Montgomery County, 1989
AN EMERGENCY ACT to:

(1) bring County floodplain regulations into conformance with State and federal
requirements by establishing a floodplain district;

(2) establish a regulatory process for building in and near floodplains;

(3) define certain terms;

(4) specify when a floodplain district permit is required;

(5) establish permit application and plan review procedures;

(6) establish inspection and enforcement procedures; and

(7) generally authorize the Department of Environmental Protection to regulate
construction and land development in floodplains.
