CHARTER RESOLUTION NO. 1-89

A Resolution to repeal Sections FC4-1 through FC4-6 of the Charter of the City
of Fruitland, both inclusive of the Code of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County, 1978
Edition, as amended, said sections comprising a portion of the Charter of the City of
Fruitland entitled, Registration, Nominations and Elections, and to re-enact with
Amendments new Sections FC4-1 through FC4-6, both inclusive, dealing with
Qualifications of Voters, the Board of Election Supervisors, Registration and Elections
generally Times of registration and notice thereof, Registration and Maintenance of
registration records and the Voting List; such changes being necessitated by changes in
Maryland law providing that all residents of a municipality who are registered to vote in
State and County Elections by the County Board of Election Supervisors are registered
to vote in regular or special municipal elections.
