CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 89-CR-005

A Resolution of the Mayor and Town Council of Edmonston, Maryland, adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the Constitution of the State of Maryland
and Sections 12 and 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1987
Replacement Volume) to amend Section 7, Article I, of the Charter of the Town of
Edmonston, "Election Procedures; Registration of Voters", to repeal and reenact
Section 7B, and to repeal in their entirety subsections C & D, Article I, of the Charter
of the Town of Edmonston, to provide for the adoption of universal registration
provisions by ordinance and providing a procedure for supplemental registration; and to
amend Section 8(A), Article I, of the Charter of the Town of Edmonston,
"Qualification for Offices", decreasing the time for submission of petitions of
candidacy.
