(2) The tenure and manner of election of its officers.

(3) Staffing requirements and appointments.

(4) The bylaws and procedures used by the Commission for the regulation
of its affairs and the conduct of its business.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That any member of the St.
Mary's County Building Authority Commission serving on July 1, 1990 shall continue to
serve as a member of the Commission subject to the discretion of the County
Commissioners, notwithstanding any prior limitation on the term of the member.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

(House Bill 868)

AN ACT concerning

Minimum Wage - Rates - Tip Credit

FOR the purpose of increasing the amount of tip credit an employer may take when
calculating the minimum wage for employees on certain dates; authorizing certain
employees subject to the Maryland Wage and Hour Law to pay a training wage to
employees in certain circumstances; making a stylistic change; and making this Act
an emergency measure.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 100 - Work, Labor and Employment
Section 82(b) and 83(1) and (2)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1985 Replacement Volume and 1989 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 100 - Work, Labor and Employment

82.

As used in this subtitle:

(b) "Wage" means compensation due to an employee by reason of his
employment, payable in legal tender of the United States or checks on banks
convertible into cash on demand at full face value, subject to such allowances as may be
permitted by regulations of the Commissioner of Labor and Industry under § 85 OF
